The CVS branch is located close to me so I gave it a try when I moved to SoHo. The pharmacy customers service is just awful - zero interest in you, very rude. I had a prescription that they didn't receive immediate authorization - they literally refused speaking to me. I thought may be it is a bad day in pharmacy, but this happened to me the next day with a different pharmacy associate. When finally the prescription was authorized, I needed to remind them several times to fulfill the prescription. Each interaction was very unpleasant. I don't know what the management is doing. I understand thta this is not the only negative review here.

I saw the negative reviews but given the pharmacy was convenient for me I tried to have a prescription filled here. Got a notification there was an issue with my prescription and when I called to see what was wrong the person I spoke with didn’t seem interested in speaking to anyone, reiterated that they were at the end of the day (they were still open) and was completely unhelpful. Seemed mostly just focused on hanging up instead of trying to help anyone get their medication. If you have important medication do not get it here.

What is the point of a voicemail system if they don’t listen to it and cal back and ask why I called. Also waiting 5-7 days for a prescription is ridiculous.

Terrible communication and service. I filled an Rx here with 48+ hours before an international trip. The Rx was confirmed, but when I went to pick it up I was told by the pharmacist it wasn't filled. When I asked why and explained my situation, she told me that they didn't have the medication in stock and it would take 5 days for it to arrive. They sent no message, didn't try to call to alert me, nothing... I was nearly left without an important medication before a multi-week trip. Hope they update their processes to better communicate with customers.

CVS at 161 6th Avenue is an excellent health resource. I always feel confident having my prescription needs filled there. The store is neat, clean and fully stocked. Every store employee I’ve dealt with has been friendly, helpful and professional. I am particularly grateful to pharmacist Joanna who has taken special care to help me resolve complicated vaccination issues.
