Nothing beats a family owned business. Do yourself a favor and dump CVS for good. This place makes it 10x easier to fill a prescription, and you are treated with respect, and personal, kindly service.

I definitely agree with the other reviewers that Avalon does provide great customer service to their customers in store. The gentlemen that is stationed in the front counter are very friendly, helpful, and transparent about fees you have to pay. Avalon is also very honest when it comes to the status of filling your medications anytime you call them to follow up. You may be wondering why I have this pharmacy 2 stars instead of 5. I gave them a two star rating because they do a poor job at calling clients to let them know that their medications are ready for pickup. Every pharmacy that I have been to does this with all of their clients. I feel that letting patients know that their medicine is ready for pickup is a standard. I have had 3 instances where the pharmacy failed to let me know that my medication is ready for pickup. I am a very busy person and I am not always in the neighborhood to stop by and ask in person. The fact that this pharmacy does not meet that standard should be a red flag. This pharmacy provides great in person customer service. However, they will not call you to let you know your medication is ready for pick up. If you do call them, expect the Pharmacist on the phone to rush your phone conversation.

I am so glad that I found Avalon Chemists! The pharmacists are easy to reach via email and coordinate any pre-authorization requests. It's incredibly easy to order refills through their website AND they offer free delivery. I can't understand why anyone would go to a large chain pharmacy when you get service like this at a locally-owned business.

Avalon has been our household pharmacy since 2011 and they’re wonderful. They deliver, will help with checking insurance and contacting my doctors, and it’s my dog’s favorite shop bc of their cookies. 💛💊🍪

I've been coming to this pharmacy for years. I have no complaints, very friendly and professional staff. They also deliver for free. So much nicer and better than chain pharmacies.
