If I could rate a zero or a negative number, I would. The service at Family Pharmacy (440 Rockaway location) is disgusting. The employees are extremely rude over the phone and have no respect for their customers — by (1) issuing condescending remarks, (2) raising their voices while cutting you off which ultimately results in them yelling over you to assert themselves in a conversation, (3) refuses to help with any transfers or reversal of prescriptions, (4) automatically refills prescriptions to accounts on file without doctor’s request, (5) refusing to follow standard protocol with other pharmacies, and (6) will hang up and/or ignore your number when you call to follow up. I rarely make a point to write reviews on locations, but this service was unbearable + would not meet us halfway on the matter to resolve it. This pharmacy solely cares about profit + couldn’t care less about the customer’s medical needs. Their best options were to close an account in a case of transferring medication they were not allowed to bill in the first place — and this is after speaking to everyone at this establishment.

This pharmacy is very clean. You can easily find your everyday needs. If you want something that smells like home. This pharmacy sells Dettol. The manager Charlie is really nice and deserves a raise. Chris helped me find what I was looking for. They both deserve a raise.

My mother went into this pharmacy for more then 2 years to get money orders for rent. today my mom handed the lady 500$ for a 428$ money order not knowing she gave more then what she was supposed to which was around 72$ extra.my mother then realized when she got home she was short but when she returned to the store the employee claimed the cameras didn't work and that my mom only gave 440$.my mother then threatened to call the cops that's when they retracted their words and said the cameras work and seen it was actually 500$ that was given to the clerk and that it was a mistake. My mom dont trust these people anymore and just wonders if they do this to other elderly people that are hopeless. Be careful with these people!!!

This pharmacy is very unprofessional….rude staff… doesn’t care about their customers at all… can’t even talk to the staff in a professional manner…VERY VERY RUDE!,,,I do not recommend anybody going to this pharmacy and getting medications filled.. they do not follow pharmacy protocols at all. Independent pharmacies like this only care about money and their profit…

They are very unprofessional. The pharmacy it self is dirty. My prescriptions are never filled on time. Also the wait time is completely ridiculous.
