The team at Oak Park Pharmacy is the best. They are so patient and helpful every time I go in or call. Especially compared to big pharmacies like CVS, I leave Oak Park thinking "they're the best" every time, which I cannot say about others.

i would give 6 stars if i could. i’ve called about 20 pharmacies in the neighborhood over the last week, and this was by far the most helpful, not only answering my questions but also proactively supplying relevant information i might not even know to ask about. they didn’t have my medication when i first called but told me when it might be coming, and when to call back to check. the checkout process is super smooth. i was mistakenly charged $10 more for one of my medications but when i asked them to double check my insurance, they were quick to refund. another pharmacy charged me >5x what my medication was supposed to cost, and when I verified the cost with my insurance, they said they “had to charge me that bc they’re a small business” so i appreciated the customer service

I asked the pharmacist a question about my insurance and was hit with a major attitude. In this world a little compassion would help. He the pharmacist should take a course in customer service. I would rather wait on line at CVS for 45 minutes and be treated kindly by someone who is working so diligently.

My family has been using this local pharmacy for about ten years without incident. I am currently 9 months pregnant and was in yesterday to buy a few things. Apparently Wednesday is their senior citizen discount day, and the woman behind the checkout counter told me I looked old because of my gray hair . When I told her I couldn’t dye my hair because of the pregnancy, she told me I *still* looked old. I was too shocked to say much but thought these comments were really unnecessary and hurtful. Say what you will about self checkout kiosks and Amazon shopping but at least I’ve never left those spots feeling like I just had an encounter with a middle school bully. It’s totally unnecessary (and not very nice) to make unflattering comments about customers’ looks. My family and I will be taking our business elsewhere in the future.

This place is amazing. I live 2 hours north of NYC and this is my pharmacy! That’s how good the customer service is every time! And the South Asian gentleman that I’ve worked with (i am learning his name next time) is beyond helpful, a lost art!! DO IT!
