I have been using Carnegie Hill Pharmacy, for all of my prescriptions, for over 10-years. And they have been patient (when perhaps I’ve asked a few too many questions) and gracious with me and I honestly cannot imagine using a different pharmacy. David & Gary & Hannah & others could not have been better & more professional with me and, again, I’m talking about monthly visits for over 10-years; a pretty good batting average, I think! In my opinion, they’re doing tremendous work in a business that’s probably pretty tough. They have my respect and gratitude!

This place is amazing!! Not sure why it has any bad reviews at all. I've been going here for a couple of years and I've had nothing but amazing experiences. I used to get my prescriptions from Duane Reade / Walgreens and they had no idea how to do anything right. I was always given the run around. But that never happens at Carnegie Hill Pharmacy! They always make sure my prescription is correct and delivered on time. They also offer free delivery! The staff is friendly and always helpful. This place reminds me of a chic little french pharmacy. You can get all of your beauty supplys too, I'm talking high end European skin care. I highly recommend this place! (Also this review was not written in exchange for any discounts etc. This is just based on my own great experience here.)

Overcharged for a perscription- $110 for a drug that was supposed to be $10 with insurance and kept claiming it was because of the deductible when it was because in reality they had given me the name brand due to being out of the generic. If he had just been honest as to why I would not have been so angry, but no. I had to call my insurance in order for them to get my $ back. And hostile and impatient the while time. They are clearly taking advantage of the shortage of this medication and people like me who really need it. So horrible. But yeah if you want skincare products that are typical in a French pharmacy but not here in the US, seems like they have all that stuff. Just don't use it as an actual pharmacy.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that when I (African American female touring NYC) walked into the store every employee came from the back to straighten the shelves. I was followed around the store the entire time I was there by an older gentleman. There was one other customer in the store-amazingly enough the employees that suddenly appeared when I walked in, were all in the back as she was shopping. I made a purchase and I regret it-but I really loved the perfume I found. I should have taken the $75.00 that I spent of my $15,000 budget to a store that wouldn’t assume that I’m a thief because of the color of my skin.

This place is wild. I was there for about 15 minutes, without being greeted, though it’s a very small space. I also thought I was being watched but I wasn't sure (I am a black woman). While there, the woman kept putting a customer on hold and complaining about her. I just called to get the name of a product I was looking at, and the (same) woman seemed hellbent on not being helpful. She barely let me complete my sentence, put me on hold twice, and was generally as unfriendly and unhelpful as possible. What a customer service approach. 2 stars because they have great offerings, but it’s not worth the racism and rudeness.
