Highly recommended! AFTER I had already paid for paxlovid out of pocket bc my network pharmacy was out of stock they kept searching, found a coupon and refunded me! Also pointed us to a less expensive product for a different purchase. They answer quickly, are reliable and a pleasure to work with.

I have made City Drug and Surgical my only pharmacy for over 10 years. Not only is the staff quick and concise but they are so kind they even remember their customers names! They often stay ahead of the curve with refills so when I call they'll even tell me before I tell them what I need, "Your prescriptions are all ready for you." They have staff that speak Spanish, English and Russian. They also carry an enormous supply of hard to find herbs/vitamins and supplements. Skip the big impersonal chains and go here. It's the real New York neighborhood experience.

I've lived in the neighborhood for 12 years and had no idea how great incredibly awesome this place is and how lucky we are to have the pharmacy in Washington Heights. I went here to get a COVID booster a few days ago and really appreciated how helpful and friendly the staff is--really helpful! The guy at the check-out counter near the door was particular helpful and positive. It's always great to interact with someone who's positive and in a good mood.

This pharmacy has a big problem with its employees who treat people who speak Spanish very badly, make racist comments, make fun of their customers for not being able to communicate well in English, but the pharmacy claims to have service in "Spanish". “They have to be a little careful when dealing with their customers. (many times these clients understand them and know everything they are talking about)

I started coming here because the big chains (Duane Reade, Rite Aid) did not carry what I needed. Have been very happy here. Staff is very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. I give them credit too for patience and people skills, because they deal with many rude and impatient customers (I get to watch the interactions). They are available by phone, and take most insurances as well as credit cards. Sometimes they are very busy, so make sure to allow them enough time to fill your prescription.
