I don’t do reviews that much but after reading a few about the lady who seems to be in charge of the pharmacy (the one who answers the phone), I felt like maybe people are too rough on her. I was beyond wrong! I had her 3 times on a phone and all these times ended by “I don’t have time for this” and hangs up on my face! I came to the pharmacy to check the status on my prescription and never dealt with this kind of arrogance and disrespect my entire life! It’s like she purposely acts and does all her best for people to dislike her. I’ve spent about 20 minutes in the pharmacy area waiting for my medication and OMG those 20 minutes felt like 2 hours of agony!! She apparently likes her job and seems good at it. But for God sakes this is a pharmacy!! Why so much attitude? Why this level of rudeness? Where is her minimum empathy? At this point I am looking for another pharmacy close to me because I I’ll be needing heart medication if I continue to come to this one.

My experiences here since 2017 have been consistently disappointing, and the only reason I have returned is due to the location’s convenience and insurance limitations. One poor interaction can have serious consequences for someone in distress, and I’ve personally experienced the impact of that at this location, firsthand. Pharmacists and healthcare professionals take an oath to prioritize patient welfare, promote inclusion, and uphold ethical standards. Unfortunately, my experiences here have not reflected those values. I strongly encourage CVS to invest in training for mental health awareness, unconscious bias, and cultural competency, particularly in a city as diverse as New York. Patients deserve to feel respected and supported when managing their health, and I hope to see meaningful improvements in the future. This is way nicer and more diplomatic than what I really want to say lol.

The Customer Service in this store is Wonderful! To have transactions with people who actually Smile is always a plus! Tierra was my cashier and was patient and kind. Ozzie was also very helpful to me answering all my questions with ease. Definitely a positive shopping experience.

The pharmacist at the drop-off at CVS is so incompetent. The payment for my prescription was denied. Any other pharmacy would reach out to my insurance to ensure that it was not their fault. The pharmacist told me to call my insurance. I called them, and they told me that pharmacy needed to reach them out as any other pharmacist would do. She refused to call my insurance. I had to call them while I was standing in front of her desk and dictate the code she needed to enter to get my presciption approved. Isn't that the pharmacist job?

I’ve always appreciated the crew at this CVS pharmacy. But today the pharmacist blew me off when I tried to get basic instructions on a new medicine from her - as one of her colleagues recommended I do, and as CVS expects. CVS requires attestation from customers at time of payment, that indeed the pharmacist gave guidance. Felt rude, careless and simply off. Disappointed. Hope it was just an off day.
