I have tried to support this local business for years but this is my last straw. I was just here to order a helium balloon for my son’s birthday tomorrow. I wanted it to be there when he woke up. I came in and ordered it and I told the guy at the counter that I was running across the street to food cellar and I’d be right back. He said, and I quote “take your time.” I came back 12 minutes later to a locked door at 6:48pm, 12 min before their posted closing time. Another couple came to pick up a prescription and we’re upset as well. It’s one thing to close early but when you KNOW someone is coming back for a 5yo’s balloon and you SAY take your time? It is crazy. You all should be ashamed. I tried to include a screenshot of the currently posted hours but google does seem to allow it.

I want to support a local business, especially since a few new, big pharmacies have popped up in LIC, but I’ve been a bit frustrated with Healthy Living Pharmacy. First and most importantly (to me), their staff is less than pleasant - every time I have to refill a prescription, they seem angry or annoyed about speaking to me on the phone. This is across several people working there - not only the same person each time. They could make an effort to be a bit more agreeable. Second, I’ve asked a few times to be taken off the prescription reminder list (I will call when I need the prescription), and they continue to call me. Third, their hours are really limited - they are not open on weekends, which is the most convenient time for me to go. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this spot. I will be filling my prescriptions elsewhere in the future.

They have their business hours posted both on google and on a sign at their window, but they never adhere to them. They never answer the phone and their voicemail is not set up to tell you when/if they are closed. They love randomly closing on a weekday with no warning even though their business hours say they are open, and have done this numerous times in the past year. Why are you completely closed on a random Thursday but your business hours on google and on your window say that you’re open 10am-7pm?
